Erectile dysfunction is common among patients treated for prostate cancer. It is greatest among those treated with prostatectomy; More than half of men who undergo radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer experience erectile dysfunction. It also occurrs among those treated iwth radiation and seed implants. More than 80% of prostate cancer patients develop erectile dysfunction (ED) as a result of treatment, regardless of whether they have surgery or external beam radiation therapy. Less clear is how it can be surmounted. One study shoed that Sildenafil is well tolerated and effective in improving erectile function of patients with ED after 3D-CRT for prostate cancer. Sildenafil in Treating Erectile Dysfunction in Patients With Prostate Cancer, NCT00057759. Cialis appears to imprve erectile dysfunctoni in two randomized European trials. I consider it supported by medical llterature.
