MRI with digital mammogram tomosynthesis – pro

Screening MRI is recommended for women with an approximately 20-25% or greater lifetime risk of breast cancer, including women with a strong family history of breast or ovarian cancer and women who were treated for Hodgkin disease.ACR says that Breast MRI may be considered as a supplement to mammography to screen women at moderately elevated risk of breast cancer (15%-20%). This is the situation here.

For best tomosynthesis – Clinical data suggest that digital mammography with tomosynthesis produces a better image, improved accuracy, and lower recall rates compared with digital mammography alone.
