c. Syncope is a condition frequently encountered in clinical practice, affecting up to 30% of the general population over their lifetime and accounting for 0.6–3% of all emergency department (ED) visits. Guidelines recommend distinguishing between syncope and seizures, brain injury, metabolic abnormalities, etc. In this case, the admission was medically necessary based on the above considerations.
