Annual creeening MRI with history of LCIS.
Although a diagnosis of LCIS remains a significant risk factor for breast cancer, the routine use of MRI does not result in increased cancer detection rates (short-term), nor does it result in an earlier stage at diagnosis (King et al). However, other studies came to different results and NCCN recommends consideration of annual MRI for patients with a diagnosis of LCIS after the age of 30.
