Diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (DLBCLs) are quite often curable with intensive combination chemotherapy. Despite the improvement of outcome with chemoimmunotherapy, 30-40% of patients relapse after the first-line treatment, and the rate of the second complete remission is lower than 30%.
The GDP regimen was initially studied as salvage regimen for Hodgkin’s lymphoma and then for salvage of B Cell large cell Lymphoma, with the addition of rituximab. It is well accepted in the situation of this patient and NCCN lists it on p. BCEL-C, 2.
