Myeloid Molecular Profile – pro

The Myeloid Molecular Profile contains 40 key genes that can aid in establishing evidence of a clonal myeloid process—an essential step in determining the diagnostic evaluation of MDS. There is no provided information that confirms MDS in this case. In addition, this is a new test that has not been prospectively studied and , while some fo the mutations in it are metnioend in the NCCN guideline on MDS (MDS-2), many included mutations are nto well studied. As a panel, this test is not medically necessary.
2. If not, what would have been a more appropriate diagnostic test?
