Northstar Select for monitring – pro
The r Northstar Select and REsponse. THe latter is for repated testings, although the frequency oftests is not marked.THe patient is 71 years-old with oropharyneal cancer. After esophagectomy it recurred wiht upper frontal neck masses. X Conic uptakes led to the diagnosis of suspected colon caner; a biopsy does not appear to ahve been perforemd. He wsa treated with immunotherapy with Keytruda. Various chempo combinations adn singel agets were tried, with a resosne and improvement of symptoms. Most recnty he ahs been on metronomic Carbo/ Taxol and 5FU/leucovorin weekly. Notes indicate that Northster Methylation INdex is beinf used for moitoring o therapy.
Northstar Select is an ultra-sensitive, NGS-based test that evaluates 84 genes for therapy selection in advanced cancers. Only validation, comparative performance and retrospective cohort studies are available.
