PET for Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma – pro

Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma is a rare vascular tumor, described for the first time in 1975 by Dail and Liebow as an aggressive bronchoalveolar cell carcinoma. The etiology is still a dilemma. Studies about suggestive hypothesis are ongoing. Most of the times it affects lung, liver and bones. There is not much in the literature about PET for this condition. Sardaro does not  mention PET for it and case reports that variably report that it was PET avid and non-avid. Calabrese et al strongly advocates PET. However, there is little basis for well based conclusion on this matter.
