Xanthogranuloma and Rituxan – pro

Juvenile xanthogranuloma is a non-Langerhans cell histiocytosis that typically affects children, but several cases have been reported in adults, some in connection with hematologic malignancies. Because of this connection, two case reports of its use with benefit have been published. However, the case report format is insufficient to communicate how often the treatment is ineffective, or even harmful. In the report by Narvaez-Moreno, chemotherapy was also used.
